".Package mplayer needs, this is not available."

Im trying to use yum update to update my system but when i do,i get the following:

Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
Resolving dependencies
.Package mplayer needs, this is not available.
I try a "whereis" and get this:

Code: /usr/lib/
So why am i getting this error and how to i resolve it?

Much thanks.

try ldconfig -v, it will update what the machiene knows it has in libraries. if you want, you can look through the output and see if you see that libdv has been added.
