package manager in command line


does anyone know how to use the package manager in redhat 9 in command line or know how to install rpms from the cd's in command line?

Install or update
rpm -Uvh <package name>
flags update, verbose, hash marks

Uninstall
rpm -e <package name>

Maximum RPM

# See rpms installed on current system
rpmquery --all | more
rpmquery --all > <filename>
rpmquery --all | grep -i <plaintext>

well i want to install all the packages that are int he developement toold catagory on the graphical package manager, and i dont know which ones they are. will i have to sinatll them all seperatley, and also wont i have to knwo which cds they are on?

Boot with install CD 1 and select the upgrade and expert option, choose the developmental packages and kernel-source and let the install program pick them up for you.
