thanx in advance |
gtk-gnutella. get it from the internet: http://google.com
|
Yeh thats what i use too, but IMO it wasn't as good ask the Kazaa linux client, too bad they didn't go on with it....
Garry :D |
gtk-gnutella too. It's not the prettiest of them, but it works damn well!
|
gtk-gnutella has far too many buttons on it. I really can't be arsed finding out what they all do.

Well what do you use Bert, limewire? :p
Garry :D |
Oh, I use gtk-gnutella as well.
That wasn't a joke either - how often do you adjust the "random factor for the hops field in search packets" setting? How about the "Amount of tolerable messages above hard TTL limit per node" setting ? I'll rest my case. There's such a thing as over-engineering. To the people who made it, it makes perfect sense to include these settings. To the people who use it, it makes no sense at all. :D Bert |
Perhaps you could design an alternative interface, submit it to the developers and suggest it be included as an option for the less-than-techie amongst us? I agree that it can be a little overwhelming, and perhaps having an alternative interface to the same program would make it more acceptable.

Hehe! Yeah - I guess it would! So, you're not into artistic design, then? :D
|
I certainly used to be, and I like to fiddle with xmorph occasionally. I've met a lot of programmers who really like to fuss about whether an orange or mauve border complements a web control best. Weird. and that's something I can't be arsed with either. :D

I noticed that Freenet 0.5 is out. You can read about it
