Outlook Send-Receive Error

Hello,

I have installed QVCS on Centos 3, I have two private networks and I have a problem. I believe it is an outlook communication with the mail server but I couldn't figure what it is. On two - three computers I can't send emails. I receive the error " Task 'mail.xxxx.xx (1) - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'" on one computer and on the other two "Send test e-mail message: The specified server was not found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct." This second error is received by other computers too but only if I verify the account settings from the account profile.

The ports are correctly set on account settings.

Need help !

What is it that you use in Outlook that you cannot find in Thunderbird?
Are you using an Exchange server?

If there is no real reason to hold on to it, dump it.

There are some really outstanding opensource mail software.

I tried for 2 weeks to make Outlook work with IMap but if cannot, even in Windows.

Outlook is screwy from the ground up.

The email problem is quite common in enterprise. Please check the following item:-

1. Can the particular computer reach the mail server with another protocol, like www, ssh, ping or etc.
2. Is your outlook data file full (max 2g for office xp).
3. nobody was edit c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and the dns is correct.
4. the particular user gateway, dns setting is correct.

If majority of user is ok. then sometimes the problem may come from dns setting.
Regards,
Ks
