Opera 7.11 and Red Hat 9
Okay, I'm very much a linux newbie (the first time I used it was about 8 hours ago) and I can't get Opera to function properly. I've installed the latest version in Red Hat 9, but when I open the program everything is funky. Windows are not showing up, buttons are spread scattershot across the screen... it's really a mess, and something is clearly very wrong. I've tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it several times to no avail. I've also installed openmotif because I read on another thread here that that could help. Does anyone know what may be the problem? Has anyone else used Opera 7.11 with Red Hat 9?

Drozz---
There is no other version of Opera for linux. 7.11 is the first one ported, so if this doesn't work, it's nada. I got it to work on Mandrake 9.1 using the .rpm module, if that's any help. Which version did you download? (I know when I chose linux, it gave me a list of about 15 choices). |
well then i guess you can see who doesn't use the opera browser, but i'm not one that likes to get proven wrong, so i would like you to explain how Opera for Linux has made a jump from version 6.12 to 7.10 :D
oh and one more thing, why on earth would opera have a changelog for there browser for linux if it was the first version. <-click me-> yah thx, over and out! |
Just for fun I tried the opera 7.11 for rh8 and it works fine...but it was loaded with crap...happily back on moz-firebird!
