OpenOffice startup error in mdk91

I re-installed mdk91 after a hard disc faliure, I have /home on a separate disc so all the configs were still there, but now OpenOffice won't start, and when I run it from a terminal all I get is:

Application ErrorAborted

The splash screen shows then disappears, running with --debugger gdb doesn't give me any clues either.

Any help is much appreciated.

I've got the same problem. OpenOffice worked great. I shut the machine down because I went on vacation. Got back and when I try to start OpenOffice--nothing! I ran "oowriter --debugger gdb" and I get the following:

Couldn't open /home/bob/.openoffice/user/config/registry/instance/org/openoffice/Office/Common.xml:
No such file or directory at /usr/bin/oowriter line 440

Anybody got any ideas?

I uninstalled the RPM, deleted all remeaining files manually, then installed from the tarball from OO.o

I ran the setup as root to install, then again as my normal user to put all the bits it needs in yer home directory.
