Question OpenOffice question

Hi all,

Does anyone know if I can use open office calc spredshit as a source of data (like a database) for open office writer? (I know MS Word can use it's Excel files it this way)

Example:

I have a Calc file woth peoples names in a collumn like so:

____________
Name
----------------
Person 1
Person 2
Person 3
Person 4
Person 5
...

How can I use this file to generate a Writer document that would contain this names like so:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Dear %name%,

Thank you for blah, blah, .....
...
...
--------------------------------------------------------------

where instead if %name% Writer would insert a value fron Name collumn in Calc file...

Hope I made myself clear.

Thank you all in advance.

yeah, explain...see, a lot of people look for answers...then sometimes they figure it out, but never say what they did...so if you say what you did and how you fixed it or whatever..then it will help the next person who had the same question you did
