OpenOffice.org/StarOffice Spreadsheets

I am trying to enter dates into a spreadsheet in both OpenOffice and StarOffice and they come out wrong.

For instance, if I enter in June 10th, it alters it to 06/10, but I do not want it to do this. Does anyone know how to shut this off???

Umm.. yeah... you need to format the cell's property to display the date style that you want...

With your cell selected.. cehck out the format menu.. there should be an option for "cell".. viola!
