Hi there,

Which distribution of Linux, and which RPM are you installing?

Most distributions should come with a package manager which can install it for you, and all dependencies (if any).

ie: In Fedora, you'd either run the Package manger GUI (PUP, or Yumex), or run as root from a console:
Code:
yum install openoffice
HTH,

LaughingBoy.

There's no log of errors. If you downloaded the tarball containing the RPMs, unpacked it and cd into that dir you could do 'rpm --test -i *.rpm 2>&1|tee errorlog'. Since it's only --test it won't install but could show errors, else just remove the --test flag.
