OpenOffice Locks after close

Hey all!

I've got an odd problem with Open Office:

Running it works fine, and I have no troubles actually using the program. However, after I close it, things start acting strangely. Firstly, I can't ps -ef ... my terminal freezes. However, I can see the openoffice process still running. If I try to exit my window manager, my entire computer locks up.

Thanks for your help!

Since I am running gentoo, I have the OO provided by Portage - which is 2.0.1.

My /var/log/messages isn't of too much help:
Code:
Feb 18 <6>note:soffice.bin[9374] exited with preempt_count 2
Feb 18 scheduling while atomic: soffice.bin/0x00000002/9374
Ideas?

try running oo.o from a terminal window.. do work as normal, and end the program as normal (which causes your freeze as you say). note the output in the terminal that you opened oo.o from.. is there any useful info there?
