OpenOffice Freezing

Hi,

When i start OpenOffice it freezes. Was checking it out and when i unplug from the network it starts ok. On further investigation i found out that there are 8 "nfsd" running in the process table. If i stay on the network and kill these processes OpenOffice works ok. The nfsd starts on boot each time and have tried to disable them but to no avail. Was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions or why would nfsd cause a problem with OpenOffice?

Thanks for any help,
Matt

I also need help.
First I thought the problem was a driver for my wireless network card (WUSB11 - at503a), but I switched to a wired card with a different driver and I have the same problem.
Most of my prgrams seem to run fine, but once I load OpenOffice (and I think either Gaim or Galeon at the same time) everything freezes. After 5 minutes or so the freeze will go away and then becomes intermittent.
I notice a message about unknown keyboard scan codes (I suspect my m!cro$oft keyboard with superfluous function keys to be the culprit) and spurious IRQ 7? I think it was.
I don't know what nfsd is, but I'll try killing it, if it exists, to see what the problem is.
