openoffice didn't upgrade when I run rpm -Uvh

Dear all,

I downloaded the rpm package for openoffice beta 2.0 version.
Untar the archive released the following rpms:

openofficeorg-calc-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-core01-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-core02-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-core03-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-core04-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-core05-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-core06-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-core07-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-core08-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-draw-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-gnome-integration-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-graphicfilter-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-impress-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-javafilter-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-math-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-pyuno-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-redhat-menus-1.9.79-1.noarch.rpm
openofficeorg-spellcheck-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-suse-menus-1.9.79-1.noarch.rpm
openofficeorg-testtool-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-writer-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
openofficeorg-xsltfilter-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm

So I tinstalled openofficeorg-calc-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm & openofficeorg-writer-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm,
however when I open my openoffice it still states it as the 1.1.1 version? isn't it supposed to be upgraded to 2.0?

or did I missed out something?

thanks for helping !

Uninstall the old version and then install the new one.

How was your older version installed? It may have been installed in a directory that is in your $PATH before the one where the later RPM is installed.

I think you are right camelrider. Check for openoffice beta in /opt.
