Opening MS Publisher files in Open Office

I have SuSe 8.2 Personal Edition.

OpenOffice 1.1

Am able to open PowerPoint, Word, and Excel files normally.

Helping my Church with a website and need to open MS Publisher files to try to get them onto a webpage throug OO's html editor.

Neither the editor or OO's word processor will open the files.

Any suggestions for trying to open these and work with them?

What little I've seen on the subject suggests that there aren't any Linux apps that can successfully import MS Publisher files. Probably has something to do with Microsoft's tendency to radically change the format of its documents with every new release, and not tell anyone else how to use them :)

Anyhow, if you can get access to MS Publisher itself to export them to another format, that may be your best bet. If not, then I am not certain what to tell you - try searching google to see if anyone else has found a way to do it.
