Open Toonz Promgram

Hi: Everyone,

A friend of mine found a really nice 2D program for drawling and creating animation.

If you like to draw or be creative this should be right up your alley.

When you get to this page click Download Now.
https://morevnaproject.org/2016/09/2...-fedora-linux/

When it takes you to the second page click on " a link to anonymous download".

That will take you to a page that says:
Welcome to Pydio <give it a minute>

Click on the pkg in the middle: (for 64-bit)
(32-bit is on the left)
OpenToonz-1.1.2-mypaint-2017.04.10-a2553-linux-64bits.appimage

The Download should be on the right hand side of the page. Once it's downloaded you can install it with chmod.

Code:
chmod +x OpenToonz-1.1.2-mypaint-2017.04.10-a2553-linux-64bits.appimage
OR>
Right click on the file, and in 'permission' tab add permission to 'execute'.

Enjoy:-

If I have time I'll post what I make once I know the program:-

thanks for the link.
as it reads right there, they made a pre-compiled version that should (!) run on all linuxes.

the actual project home page is here and here.

i'm using this aur package; so far it compiles nicely, at 52% now...

this is very complex software.

i say that because i was hoping for something extremely simple for kids, but since it is already compiling now i'll see where it goes...

You're Welcome:-

I agree it is complex software. Can't beat it for free:-

Were you able to get Open Toonz installed?

installed yes, but first the executable wasn't in $PATH, then it wouldn't run with some error.
i didn't even look at the error message, just uninstalled straight away.
maybe the AppImage would've been a better choice after all.

I've been waiting for a solid Linux build of the software.

The AppImage worked for me on Slackware.
Running that long chmod cmd with the name of the program was a success.

That says a lot because it's not easy sometimes to get things installed on Slack.
