Open Suse KDM resolution problem

I have run OpenSuse (with KDE) for a while now and just upgraded to 10.2 (clean install). I have an nvidia graphics card and use the current drivers from them. Signing in a my default user, I have no problems. However if I lock my session and log in as a different user, screen resolution in KDM and new users KDE, switches to 640X320 and will not go any higher. Please help?!?!?!? Let me know if I need to post anything.

Which Nvidia drivers.

Did you install the nvidia proprietary drivers or the asus pre-compiled drivers?

Nvidia driver

I installed the Nvidia driver RPM from their Suse installation source.

Tried the rpm.

Had to install the open-source one for mine. The nvidia settings utility didn't let me change the resolution settings in mine.
