Open Source Virtual Desktop Utility?

My company wants to integrate a virtual desktop environment. I was just wondering if there is any open source applications that will allow me to do so. Basically I want to activate, manage and profile access and policies to an unlimited number of Windows desktop servers for each employee over our network to save money on laptops/workstations. Does such a thing exist in open source?

Thanks, but that is more of a VMWare type deal no? I guess I am bad at describing things. Basically I want to save money but having a central image or something along those lines to which my employees boot off of every morning when they come to work. I guess they would download the image or something and then use that for the day.
