Open Source Inventory Management Control System?
Hello!
Does anyone know of a good open source inventory management control system? We are a small non-profit manufactoring company and would like to implement a computer system (linux) to manage our basic needs such as tracking inventory, materials and customer orders, input and tracking of items via a barcode system with printing and scanner interface capability. If anyone can point me in the right direction where I can find open source software or where I can find information on the topic, it would be GREATLY appreciated! firedude |
I'm not familiar with inventory applications. I can tell you where to look, though. Try these sites. They have thousands of projects available for free.

www.google.com/linux is your friend. Point your browser at that URL, and start browsing (I got 266.000 hits; many repeats).
Hope you find something useful. |

Needs a good reply
Most Open Source projects that do inventory management are part of larger ERP systems, like OpenERP and OpenBravo.
To solve complex inventory management problems you will likely need to develop something yourself or use a commercial product. |
