I am searching an open source tool, through which I can share my documents to remote users & if needed remote user can download it on their local pc.

The concept is to conduct live training. Here, A faculty will open the document in the document sharing tool (OR Tool itself shall provide interface to type everything like normal word document), then whatever the faculty type or making presentation (PPT), remote users can view the same without any delay.

At the end of session, if end user wants to download the document, he should be able to do so. Remote users will request faculty to give access to join the session.

I have gone through etherpad lite & moodle, which may have the said capability, but I want expert advise & confident that LQ will sure guide me to fulfill the actual requirement.

Note: Remote user shall see all conversation through "web interface" only. Etherpad Lite also support chat to ask anything during conversation.

If I understand you correctly, you might want to try Google Docs.
