Open Office for debian..


Where can i get open office for linux debian? i need a .deb link or a apt-get name

check your /etc/apt/sources.list
and add the closest debian mirror
apt-get update
apt-get insall openoffice

that didnt help anything...i just need a .deb link or the name of the file to add after apt-get install

ok....what you should do is search for the package.
to do that you will have to type:
apt-cache search openoffice
this will spit out quiet a few options.choose whichever package you want.copy the exact package name into the apt-get install command and that should work.

IIRC OO is available from the testing mirrors. Are you using at least testing?
And on looking that's Genesee's link indicates.
