Open Office 1.9 Impress and WMV files

Running Open Office 1.9 on Fedora C4, and getting along swimmingly with new Impress documents, however i have a question for anyone who knows this app..

i have a powerpoint presentation which makes heavy use of Windows Media Video (WMV) files.. and MP# sounds (Its for a mates wedding, and i can run the Windows/Powerpoint but id like to run it via linux)

When i import the file into impress, the music doesn't play and the videos don't run..

I can watch the videos using mplayer or kaffiene so i know the wmv plugin is working ok... Does anyone out there know enough about this to assist me?

I have no idea about this but have you tried basic troubleshooting stuff first? Can you create a new presentation and import some random .wmv files and .mp3 files into that? Do they play normally?
