OOo-writer: Change All Paras of One Style to Another?

I have recently written a document in Open Office Writer, and most of the text ended up being of paragraph style "default". When I moved the document to another computer running a different distro, and a different version of Open Office as well, the font settings for "default" were different, and the document looked like hell. I am guessing that "default" may be different from release to release, and that means that if I distribute my document, people looking at it may see it formatted differently.

To fix this, I would like to take EVERY paragraph of style "default" and change to another new style that I will create which is a copy of the "default" settings that I want. However, I don't want to do this manually, a paragraph at a time. Is there a way to change EVERY para of one style to a different style?

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I am fairly new to OO-writer and just can't figure it out. Thanks.

Click on Format, then Styles. You have two options: Catalog and Load. The catalog lists available styles and offers you the opportunity to create new styles or modify existing styles.
The OO help files can give you more info.

Thanks, but I guess I wasn't clear enough in my question. I know how to create new styles - what I want to do is change all paragraphs that are currently style "a" into style "b". Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks!
