on FireFox Win/Ubuntu ?=Ghost?
I am using the same browser on two laptops Ubuntu just upgraded to Meercat & Win7 home ,& i noticed that the same site on both machines with exactly the same browser settings & addons ,on the same router.
Ghostery managed to block All on Win ,that's Quantcast ,Double click ,stats, etc & not on Ubuntu ,Why? not one & all?

My guess would be that there is some difference between the linux version and the windows version.

I don't know about your problem, but you can use the AdBlock Plus add-on to block plain image and Flash ads.

I never said that ghostery does'nt work ,its works fine here too ,but on this page lifehacker it can't block the trackers & i also have ad bloc on both machines .I am NOT Complaining or dissing one OS for the other. I don't DO that . I am a humble guy & could never diss anything ,let alone an OS .
the question ,which i kind feared this was gonna be the kind of reply .
I said i noticed that it did'nt block the trackers & if anyone could explain the 'possible reasons if any ' thonugh i think there has to be something that is not working right or' ' I ', did'nt set up maybe beetr privacy addon is not set up the same ,maybe noscript .etc.
that's what i meant.
Sorry if i caused any distress or heart pain to a real LINUX lover ,..well like in my little user case. capish?
why when one mentions another machine or os it always has to be about favouritism?. why?
can't one just notice a diff & inquire?..
