Ogle dvd read problem
I recently switched from Suse to Debian and I am having trouble getting Ogle to read dvds again. When I launch Ogle with "ogle /dev/dvd" I am getting the error:
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.8 for DVD access
libdvdread: Could not open /dev/dvd with libdvdcss.
libdvdread: Can't open /dev/dvd for reading
ERROR[ogle_nav]: faild to open/read the DVD
main: DVDSetDVDRoot: Root not set
Note[ogle_gui]: GetDiscID failed
It doesn't even sound like it is spooling up the drive. I have searched around and found that other people have had similar problems, but all of them had /dev/dvd pointed to the wrong device. That would support the drive not spooling symptom, but "ls -l /dev/dvd" gives:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 Nov 8 04:12 /dev/dvd -> /dev/hdd
So the link is pointed to /dev/hdd, and if I use "eject /dev/hdd" it spits out my dvd, so I am pretty sure thats the right device. Besides, if I stick a normal cd in there I can mount it ok.
Any wisdom someone can offer? Thanks in advance.
