Hi Everyone
I am writing a HOWTO to help newbies with getting Office2k and other windows
applications with wine.
I would really appreciate it, if you could read or try out the instructions and suggest any changes.

BTW, lots of other applications work with the above method of installation. (I haven't done
anything new to install.. but I thought a newbie might find it useful to have the entire method
written out explicitly)
I know that some of the Linux purists would attack me
saying 'wine' project should be abolished because it encourages windows products.
I don't want to get into those arguments now. The forum is filled with such arguments.
Let me just say that I have managed to get 3 small business companies to try out Linux just because they were able to use the familiar office software (instead of having to learn a new package). I doubt if they would have switched if it were not for 'wine'. Hopefully, once the
userbase gets large enough, the support of applications will also get better which in turn
would convert more people into Linux.
regards
