Hi all.
I have been trying to install MS Office 2007 on my laptop (running Linux Mint 6 with 2.6.27-7 kernel). I don't really need it; OpenOffice provides for most of my needs. However, I have been trying to install it out of curiousity (and because it has become something of a challenge).
Anyway, after upgrading to wine 1.1.3, as recommended by various posters in various places, I have the following problem:
Tha installer loads properly and I get 2 steps through it. As it is about to start installing the software I get the error message:
'Applying a Setup customization file requires Windows Installer 3.1 or greater. Please contact your administrator.'
This is accompanied by the following error messages in the logs:
Code:
fixme:htmlhelp:HtmlHelpW HH case HH_UNINITIALIZE not handled.
fixme:powrprof:DllMain (0x7de00000, 1, (nil)) not fully implemented
fixme:ntdll:NtPowerInformation Unimplemented NtPowerInformation action: 11
fixme:netapi32:NetGetJoinInformation Stub (null) 0x32f0dc 0x32f0d0
fixme:advapi:CheckTokenMembership ((nil) 0x1972f8 0x32f0b8) stub!
fixme:advapi:CheckTokenMembership ((nil) 0x1972f8 0x32f0b8) stub!
fixme:powrprof:DllMain (0x7de00000, 0, (nil)) not fully implemented
I should point out that this error (which very few others seem to have had) is probably due to the fact that the installer is from the IT team at the university I work at, and has probably been customized by them. Anyway, that's my situation, would really appreciate any input anyone can give.
Many thanks
Andy
