nvtv messes up my screen settings, screen split in half
Nvtv messes up my screen settings and the fastest way back to a normal looking desktop is by right-clicking on the desktop and choosing configure desktop... change resolution, change back. As soon as I turn on the TV-out and the turn it off I get a magenta stripe on the right side of my screen and a corresponding stripe is cut off of the left side of my screen. So the whole screen is moved to the left. That's most moderate change I've gotten. After a while of clicking I ended up with the whole screen being split in quarters with a black cross at the center. Part of it was the normal desktop and part of it was the green, blurry, close-up image of grass, which is shown when the splash screen is not shown during boot.
My screen resolution is 1280 x 1024 px. I've tried to change it to 1280 x 960 px but the result was the same. My graphics card is an NVidia Riva TNT2 Ultra CT5823 (bought it for 4$, the piucture is great) and the tv chip is a Brooktree Bt869 Rev 2 (1:8A).
Question: How do you make nvtv not mess up my screen settings?
