Nvidia Drivers and newer kernals

Am i missing somthing???

I've been running redhat 8 and mandrake 9 for a while now, and i've been using nvidia's ia32 drivers. No problems!!

Now, i have problems, i updated the RH box's kernal to latest using the update program in X. Now my drivers don't work

So, i downloaded Mandrake 9.1 and put it on my main box, guess what, GLX makes and install's , but the kernal complains about the OS kernal version. Does anyone have mandrake 9 or RH and a newer kernal running with Nvidia drivers?? how did you do it??

I tend just to get the .tar.gz's and manually compile.

Is this a case of just waiting for Nvidia to release newer drivers??

I just upgraded to Mandy 9.1 yesterday. I used the 4191 software drivers which I downloaded from the Nvidia site and I have not had a problem.
