NVidia Driver Install Question
Hello there. I'm trying to install the latest NVidia drivers on Fedora Core 5. I have no problem getting past the x server and getting past the initial start. However, when I get to the kernel, it says that it can not compile one. To check the linker.
"Note that linking of the kernel interface (in the case that the interface was downloaded or compiled at installation) requires you to have a linker installed on your system. The linker, usually /usr/bin/ld, is part of the binutils package. If a precompiled kernel interface is not found, you must install a linker prior to installing the NVIDIA driver."
I checked usr/bin/ld, and the file exists, but I'm not sure what to do from here to get this working. Any ideas?
