NVIDIA driver ~ Kernel error

Im using a dell inspiron 8500 notebook with a NVIDIA Geforce 4 4200 go card. Im using linux fedora core 2.4.22-1.2115

I installed the nvidia driver and restarted the x server in mode 3. During installation i get the following error,

"no matching precompiled kernel interface was found on the NVIDIA ftp site, This means that the installer will need to complile a kernel interface for your kernel."

I also get an error that there are no kernel source files.

I checked some faq's on the matter but couldnt quite understand them. Has anyone succesfully installed a NVIDIA dirver on fedora 2? If so help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hatter

install the kernel sources, kernel headers, or kernel development. what ever FC calls them.
