I'm using kernel 2.4.8.
Then, I tried to compile from the source.
Right... Anyone know what I could do? Thanks a lot.

Yup,
nuke it.
rpm -ivh
--force --nodeps NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-1541.mdk80up.i386.rpm
Guaranteed to get results
:P
Seriously, this should fix the problem.
As for building it from the source:
Quote:

>In file included from NV.c:50:
>/usr/include/linux/modversions.h:1:2: #error Modules should never use kernel-headers system headers,
>/usr/include/linux/modversions.h:2:2: #error but headers from an appropriate kernel-source
>make: *** [nv.o] Error 1

No doubt.
modversions.h is going away, they shouldn't even be using it.
But everyone seems to have an opinion, here's how you compile something that requires
modversions.h
http://www.linuxdoc.org/FAQ/Ftape-FAQ-2.html
Note that you have to rebuild the kernel first to get
modversions.h
But I do remember reading where it's on its way out. Now, if I could only find those neurons...
