NTFS module for the new kernel?

Hi, I just updated my kernel 2.6.17-1.2139_FC5. Its not recognizing my Win XP NTFS drive now. I have all my media on that drive. I search for kmod-ntfs, they dont have one for 2.6.17-1.2139_FC5, The lastest they have is 2.6.17-1.2133_FC5. What do i now other then wait?

Its kinda sad that i cant access that drive because i never use Win XP now. Am always on Linux. I cant even convert the NTFS to FAT32.

is the ntfs module loaded? check lsmod. if not use modprobe to load it. whats the command you use to mount the partition? are you giving it the proper filesystem?

Perhaps compile your own kernel? Fedora Core is what RedHat releases as a development product for people to test before they release their Enterprise product -- which they sell. So you're just a "guinea pig" for RedHat if you use FC*. So you should report this bug to RedHat's Fedora Core project, since you're testing for them.

Kwan Lowe has the best Kernel Rebuild Guide that I've seen. Use it, learn to recompile your kernel, and start learning about Linux.
