ns2.1b9 install on ubuntu 10.04 LTS

Hi!

I would appreciate if someone can help with installation of ns 2.1b9 on Lucid. I need this version because I have a project that requires this version.

If someone is willing to help me. I can post the project link so that you can see and let me know if there is a possibility of using another ns version.

I tried the project on ns 2.27 but I get very different results. I used Ubuntu 9.04 to install ns 2.27

ns-allinone-2.1b9a-gcc32 requires an "old style" compiler =
gcc/g++-3.2 only available on CentOS 3.9. These old compilers
do not work and cannot be build on a modern Linux.

EDIT : gcc-3.3 will work : version 3.3.6
