My problem is now that linux finds my secondary harddrive but the size is to small. It's only 2 Gb, instead it should be 30 Gb. What happened??

If you've been using this drive under Windows have you been using any software to get around a BIOS that only supports 2GB max drives?

My primary harddrive is of 20 Gb so I'm not using any software to get around the BIOS. It should support big harddrives.

Clearly BIOS support isn't a problem then. Do you have any partitions on the drive currently? Is so what size are they and what type. At the risk of insulting your intelligence you havn't got a 28GB FAT32 partition on it and Linux is reporting just the free 2GB?

cheers.

What kind hard drive do you have? I have heard of Maxtor having particular drives that come up with problems like this, and they need particular drivers or something for the whole drive to be recognized.
