Angry Novell LInux Desktop and VMWare

We are playing with the new Novell LInux Desktop here. But we cannot get VMWare to install in the system. I go into /usr/src/linux then I run 'make cloneconfig' then I run 'make prepare' and then I run the vmware-config.pl . This is the error output i get:

Making sure VMware Workstation's services are stopped.

Stopping VMware services:

Trying to find a suitable vmmon module for your running kernel.

None of VMware Workstation's pre-built vmmon modules is suitable for your
running kernel. Do you want this script to try to build the vmmon module for
your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)? [yes]

Using compiler "/usr/bin/gcc". Use environment variable CC to override.

Argument "gcc (GCC) 3" isn't numeric in numeric ge (>=) at /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl line 1493, <STDIN> line 1.
What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your runningkernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]

Does anyone have any suggestions? I know this is new software, but Novell sure trumped up VMWare at their latest demo of the Novell LInux Desktop....

Thanks

fixed it

I was able to reinstall the rpm and fix it. I went into /usr/src/linux-xxxx(version). I then ran 'make cloneconfig' . AFter that i ran 'make prepare'. After that I ram the vmware-config.pl . And everything works just fine now...
