Notifications in the system tray?

Is there a notification daemon that will sit in the system tray? The result being notifications (sent with notify-send for example) are displayed in a panel (such as tint2) rather than as a pop-up.

Yes, there is indeed. What desktop are you using?
jdk

I'm using tint2 as my panel; where I want the notifications. Openbox as the window manager.

I use KDE and there's a plasmoid called Device Notifier that tells you everything from if you plug something in a usb port or if you've received email etc. I don't know anything about the tint2 panel. Sorry. Maybe you can check on their website (tint2 or openbox)
ciao,
jdk
