Not enough space in /var/lib/mysql/

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I'm trying to install mysql-server in my box and getting the following error: "There's not enough space in /var/lib/mysql/". Well, I'm sure there's plenty of space in my HD! Has anyone been through this before? Any help is most welcomed!

desktop:~/Pacotes# apt-get install mysql-server

Its not about having space on ur hardidsk ...

Looks like u have /var on a separate partition.. which doesnt have enough space left ...
Its about having enough space on in the /var partition...

#kdiskfree [run it to see if u have enough space in ur /var partition]

make space by clearing [the stuff u dont need] out ur apt cache----> /var/cache/apt/archives/
