Not able to tethering Motorola Milestone with Lucid (10.04).

Hi All

I want to tether my Milestone phone with my Lucid 10.04. I did a search regarding the software needed on the PC side to support this but unfortunately I found none.

What all I got is a S/W named Pdanet to be used with windows only.

Can anyone help me in figuring out the S/W that will actually works with Lucid???

You can use PDANet in Bluetooth mode with Linux. You can also use the Android SDK to connect to your phone as a PPP device.

There are other options if your phone is rooted, but you didn't mention that.

Thanks for the reply. I would like to know how actually I can root the Milestone phone??? Is there any scripts or anything that I need to install or what precisely ????
