Noobee does Wine - Oh dear!
 

Hi just downloaded and installed codeweavers wine on RH 7.2 And need to get Lotus Notes 5 running under wine.

When I run wine to do the Notes client install I get a series of input messages and it suggests that I check the config.

Wine wont let me do the config as root so I did SU to my user. When I run winesetup under my user I get the following error:

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to Server
Error: Can't open display: :0.0

All help gratefully received.

You just need to log in to an Xwindows session as the root user.

Wine setup...
 

Thanks, so I do the SU to my user, do the config and SU back to root to run wine yes?
