No Windows boot option in Mandriva 2011 boot menu


Mandriva 2011 dvd installed in addition to Vista in separate HD partition has no option of Windows start in its own boot menu. Pls help to fix.

Open a terminal. This can work in cli too. But I am not too sure. Log in as the root and run 'yast'.
It is has a nice (and easy) interface to make such changes.
Post back if you have any issues with that.

i hoppe too thanks i ve re-installed both OS on my desktop - both are booting through Mandriva "boot bar" now

Good you figured it out. BTW the 'boot bar' is called grub. I apologize for not writing the steps because something else came up and for some reasons I could not be on this forum for some time.

Anyway, good luck with linux. If something else comes up post back and we would be able to take care of it.
