No themed scrollbar in mozzila

Why is there no themed scrollbar in mozzila like in Internut Exploder. Can anyone tell me why and if it will ever happen.

Thanks

in linux there is, but only for the classic netscape skin. you are talking about the scrollbars taking on the appearance of scrollbars in windows from your desktop theme, right? anyway mozilla uses gtk themes. if you use kde, you need to log into gnome and set the theme for gnome. then when you log back into kde, gtk apps will still use the gtk themes. you can set the gnome theme in kde, but i think i remember seeing posts about how for some reason, kde wouldn't display the gtk themes for gtk apps that way on subsequent logins.

If you mean where websites can adjust the color of the scroll bar, i guess they decided it would be too hard to implement since the UI is entirely based on pixmaps for Mozilla (you can't just tell it to use this color here). Konqueror does this though.

AFAIK, only Konqueror does this... and even better then Internet Explorer! (the scrollbars/buttons use the classic-windows theme if you try to change the appearance)

Mozilla uses GTK to render it's widgets, and Konqueror uses the Qt toolkit.

I mean that in Internet Explorer on Linux Questions.org the scroll bar turns blue. Why does it do it?

That's not a system theme based thing, its a function of the CSS for the LinuxQuestions website.

Unfortunately, Mozilla does not support this particular feature of CSS -- on Windows, Linux or Mac.

Spefically, it does not support SCROLLBAR-BASE-COLOR or SCROLLBAR-ARROW-COLOR, if you wanted to know.

Not sure, but I'm sure you can research it on any CSS related website. There should be breakdowns of popular browsers and which things are and are-not supported by each.

afaik, it's a Internet Explorer extension. Konqueror (kde browser) supports it too, even better as I've explained in my previous post
