No syslog records found - LogAnalyzer
Hi - I've been noticing for quite some time now that for some reason my rsyslog sends this error in my loganalyzer "No syslog records found." The interim resolution is to restart the service or restart the server itself which is becoming old. I have Ubuntu 12.04 desktop with rsyslog and loganalyzer 3.0.1. I've look at some of the KB article posted below but non helped still error persist.

Here Perhaps turning on the debug tool mentioned in that article can confirm this is the exact problem you're having? |
loganalyzer "No syslog records found".
I realise I'm a few years late with this! but had the same problem.
I'm new to Linux/Loganalyzer also....to save the headscratching for others. I had changed the default Password for the associated users, after blindly following the install scripts and not really unsderstanding how the rsyslog processing/forwarding worked did not change the password for the Syslog database in /etc/rsyslog.d/mysql.conf *.* :ommysql:127.0.0.1,Syslog,[dbusername],[dbuserpassword] |
