I have this problem fairly often, but only on Slack when using KDE. All I do to get back sound is delete the .realplayerrc file so that it reverts back to default settings. i don't know if there is a permanant fix for this, if anyone knows it then share it with us please.

that is fun
have to delete that thing everytime

If you search on google there is probably a permanent fix for this.
