This is a nuisance, not a big problem, but it is weird.
Iceweasel (basically same thing as Firefox) is running, with a couple of windows open. Most of the time I can issue
ps -u myusername | grep fox
and I get a process number for, I think firefox-bin. Something about firefox, anyway.
But once in a while (like now), I'll need to kill Iceweasel because the sound is misbehaving, and ps -u myusername does not produce any lines containing "firefox". So there's no way to kill it! killall firefox-bin doesn't work either.
Like I said, weird. I tried ps -A and ps -e, but still no firefox listed. Also, top does not show any firefox process. How can this be?
Oh yes, I did check for processes with "ice" in the name also.
