no more sound after swaret --upgrade -a

after i installed slackware 10.0 i ran alsaconf and then my sound worked fine but after i ran swaret --upgrade -a it upgraded alsa and now it cant find the right drivers anymore it even cant find any drivers or modules (he doesnt even do probing for any legacy cards)
when i run alsaconf again i get this three times:
modinfo: snd: no module by that name found
and then it continues the normal setup but without finding anything. could anyone help me with this?

re-install ALL of the ALSA packages.........and run--
alsaconf

i did that multiple time there are 4 packages alsa-driver alsa-lib alsa-oss and alsa-utils. i do get sound again when i reinstall the old packages (1.0.5 for slackware 10) but i do would likeit for the new packages (version 1.0.8 with slackware 10.1) to work.

i found the problem. alsa 1.0.8 cant work with the 2.4 kernel just did a kernel upgrade to 2.6.11 and now the sound works fine
