no KDE headers installed????

I'm trying to instal kthememanager and i get the following error after running the configure script.

in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

any help?

Using Mandrake 10 CE

Hi,

I had this identical problem for a while. It frustrated me to no ends not being able to compile from source. In the end, it was just a package that MDK 10.0 CE didn't install by default.

From memory, you need to install the rpm "libkdecore4-devel-3.2.x-1mdk' (I don't remember the exact version number.) The description for this file is:

Quote:
Header files and documentation for compiling KDE applications.
If not that one, then it's libkdebase4-devel-3.2.x_1mdk

If that still doesn't work, search "devel" in Mandrake Control Centre-->Software Management-->Install. It'll be either a kde devel or libkde devel pacakge.

Let me know how this goes,
Tim

I believe it's kdelibs-devel for FC2.

Happy building!
