no device found tcpdump
 
i recently installed tcpdump 3.7.2 on my red hat 9 workstation. but when i try to run tcpdump i get this error 'no suitable device found'. im guessing that it can not find the network device but im not sure how to configure tcpdump, i have a realtek TRL-8139 SMC EZ running on eth0.

As root, see if:

tcpdump -i eth0

gives you any better results.
