Unhappy nmap over wlan0 problem


Hello i'm having problems with nmap, i have a wireless card and just set it up with ndiswrapper and i can browse the net and ping but when i run nmap i get an error here my session is below,

**/Start\**
root@box1:/home/raven/# nmap byond.com

Starting nmap 3.81 (the link)
Failed to find interface wlan0 mentioned in /proc/net/route

QUITTING!
**\End/**
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
