News Rover for Linux

In the windows world I would use News Rover to download newsgroups.Also if a say movie was posted in parts it would download all the parts and combine them for me.Giving me a working mpg or avi.Do any of the news readers under linux do this same thing or is there a program that does.

There are tools like avidemux, mencoder etc that can merge movies, but I dont know of any newsreader that does that
