Newbie - X won't let me login because not enough free disk space in /tmp

I tried to login but I received 2 errors
I have tried to delete some files in the drive but I didn't seem to work

/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc: line 62: too many arguments
Not enough free disk space in /tmp

Did somebody have this problem before ?
