newbie here...can't get wine to install - HELP!


How do i get wine to install? i tried running the wineinstall but nothing came up.

sorry i do not know much about that distro does it have a tool like apt-get or yum or yast or emerge... if so use that tool to install wine if you can.

Edit your etc/apt/sources.list and add :
#wine
deb http://wine.sourceforge.net/apt/ binary/
deb-src http://wine.sourceforge.net/apt/ source/

Run as root apt-get update then open Synaptic and install the different packages for wine including winetools. The install is easy; getting it to actually work is the fun part.
